RESULTS-- 2005
The Texas State Weightlifting Championships were held
Jan 22-23 at MWSU's Sikes Lake Center. Congratulations
to all competitors!

Many thanks to all those who worked the event and helped things
run smoothly. Particular thanks are due the Holub family for handling
the concession stand, shirt sales and 70 or 80 other things.

Many contributed as loaders, but Saturday's sessions were mainly
the work of Justin Talley, Matt Steimel and Donny Boren (pictured
above).
Lynn Stoessel-Ross came up from Lubbock and acted as head
judge for nearly all of the meet. Lon Kilgore and Phil Anderson served
as side judges for several sessions. Several others contributed,
including Tom Witherspoon, Nic Teaff and Caleb Ward.
The meet was announced by Mark "stop the clock! stop the
clock" Rippetoe. Cristal Biddle kept the lifters/attempts in order and
recorded the lifts. Taylor Elrod was pressed into service as timekeeper.
