Local Weightlifting Meets-- Entry forms, results, info for visitors

November 5-- Mary McGregor lifted in the 2005 American Master's
        Weightlifting Championships in Woonsocket, RI. She went
        6 for 6 with lifts of 36, 38, and 40kg in the snatch and 45, 48,
        and 50kg in the clean and jerk. This performance won the
        gold medal for her age/weight class, set new records in the
        snatch (by 5kg), C&J(by 7kg) and total(by 12.5kg) and earned
        the distinction of "best lifter" in her age class.

        Master's Weightlifting website.

November 5-- American Open Qualifier Meet was held.
         Results are posted on the LOCAL MEETS page.

October 1-- The Bill Starr Memorial Weightlifting Meet Results

August 31-- The Aasgaard Company opens its redesigned store.
         In addition to selling the Starting Strength book and
        associated posters and seminars produced by The Aasgaard
        Company, the store also carries
        Performance Sports Conditioning and Zhangkong
        weightlifting equipment.

August 26-- Dr. Lon Kilgore has revived the old
        Regional Development Center webpages on his
        personal website. Look here for resources and information
        relating to olympic weightlifting.

August-- 22-- Starting Strength: A Simple and Practical Guide
        to Coaching Beginners receives one stunning review after
        another.

July 29- Aug 1-- WFW lifters competed in the AAU Junior Olympics
       in New Orleans.    Results

July 26-- Mary McGregor participated in the 2005 World Masters
       Games in Edmonton. Her 93kg (PRs of 38kg snatch, 55kg clean
        & jerk) total won third place in her class.    Results

July 16-- The North Texas Senior Olympics 2005 meet was
       held at WFAC Saturday afternoon. The bench press
       and deadlift were contested.   Meanwhile, 11 WFW team
       members competed in the 2005 Junior Pan American
       Qualifier at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado
       Springs. Justin Brimhall and Ashley Suggs qualified
       and will compete at the Junior Pan-Ams in Puerto
       Rico in October.      Full Results
